Twenty-Seven Aggie Football Players Earn Sun Belt Academic Honors
In all, Utah State landed 16 of its student-athletes on the Commissioner's List, including returning starting quarterback Travis Cox. Cox was a second-team all-Sun Belt Conference selection last year after leading the league in passing yards and total offense. Other 2003 starters on the list included linebacker Nate Fredrick, defensive lineman Nate Putnam, and linebacker Jake Stewart.
Three other starters were among Utah State's 11 Honor Roll selections, including offensive guard Victor Eti, cornerback Mark Estelle and safety Terrance Washington. Estelle was the Aggies' defensive most valuable player in 2003, while Washington earned second-team Freshman All-America honors.
