USU Football Game at BYU Oct. 5 Will Be Nationally Televised
Utah State's [University] football game at Brigham Young on Friday, Oct. 5, will be televised by either ESPN or ESPN2, and will kick off at 8:15 p.m. MT, as announced by the network Wednesday [May 16].
USU will now play on the ESPN family of networks twice in the 2012 season as the Aggies' home game against Utah on Friday, Sept. 7, will also be televised by ESPN2. It also marks the third year in a row that Utah State's game against BYU will be aired on the ESPN network, as the last two seasons' games were televised on ESPN.
This season will be the 82nd meeting with the Aggies battling the Cougars for the Old Wagon Wheel. It will mark the 15th time in the last 19 meetings since 1987 that USU and BYU will be battling on a Friday night. The Cougars hold a 44-34-3 series lead.
The USU-BYU game is currently scheduled as only one of two Football Bowl Subdivision games on Friday, Oct. 5, as the Pittsburgh at Syracuse game is slated for a 5 p.m. MT start, airing on ESPN.
