USU basketball player hospitalized, BYU game postponed
LOGAN, Utah - Athletics officials from BYU and Utah State have determined that tonight's men's basketball game between the two universities will be postponed due to the serious medical condition of USU student-athlete Danny Berger that occurred during practice on Tuesday.
The game was originally scheduled for tonight at 7 p.m. in Provo and will be rescheduled for a later date.
USU junior forward Danny Berger (Medford, Ore.) was tended to on the court by the USU Athletic Training staff, CPR was performed and the AED (automated external defibrillator) was used on him until ambulance personnel arrived. As of Tuesday morning, Berger is in critical condition at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.

Utah State is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, Dec. 8, when it hosts Western Oregon in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum at 7 p.m.
