USU Extension Sponsors Art in the Arboretum

By Julene Reese |

Utah State University Extension is sponsoring Art in the Arboretum, a family-friendly celebration of the arts at the USU Botanical Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 7.

Attendees can enjoy an outdoor art gallery in the Varga Arboretum, including entries from quilts and paintings to sculpture and 3-D printed creations. In addition, there will be live music, a vendor market, dance performances and hands-on art activities, including interactive stations, sidewalk chalk and art classes, with paid admission. Local food trucks will be on hand as well as a car show featuring custom automobiles.

“This event is all about connection — between people, creativity and the beauty of the natural world,” said Alex Zesiger, USU Extension outreach manager for the gardens. “There’s something magical about experiencing local art under a canopy of trees with music in the air and families exploring together.”

Art in the Arboretum is open to the public and admission is free.

The USU Botanical Center is located at 875 S. 50 West in Kaysville. For further information, click here.
