USU Online Jumps to Top 25, Top 50 in Multiple U.S. News & World Report Rankings

LOGAN, Utah — USU is once again among the top online programs in the country for bachelor’s and master’s degrees, according to the latest U.S. News & World Report. With significant increases in the 2025 rankings, USU is now ranked in the top 25, and in the top 50, in multiple rankings.
- No. 14 Best Online Bachelor's Programs for Veterans (up 6 from 2024).
- No. 25 Best Online Bachelor's Programs (up 7 from 2024).
- No. 28 Best Online MBA Programs for Veterans (up 14 from 2024).
- No. 46 Best Online Master's in MBA Programs (up 19 from 2024).
As USU Online enters its 30th year, plans are underway to further enhance the online portfolio to continue enabling students to advance their careers, change their lives, and make an impact in their communities.
“Our goal is to make our affordable, high-quality offerings accessible from anywhere, and we’re proud to see those efforts recognized in these rankings,” said Ryan Hobbs, vice president of USU Online. “New offerings are in various stages of planning and development to support the university’s vision of expanding and enhancing the online enterprise while boosting enrollment.”
In 1995, USU Online initially offered only a few independent study courses via email. Since then, it has grown to more than 60 fully online for-credit programs.
