USU Opens Two-Game Homestand Oct. 20, "Military Appreciation Day"

QUICKLY — Two road games and an off week later, Utah State (0-6, 0-2 WAC) returns to the friendly confines of Romney Stadium (25,513) to host Nevada (2-4, 0-2 WAC) on Saturday, Oct. 20, on Military Appreciation Day. Saturday's game will be broadcast regionally on KJZZ (Comcast Ch. 14 in Cache Valley). USU is coming off its lone bye week of the season as its last game was at No. 16 Hawai'i on Oct. 6. USU is 1-1 in games immediately after bye weeks in the Brent Guy era, having defeated UNLV in 2005 and losing to Hawai'i last year. The Aggies will be trying to snap a five-game home losing skid to the Wolf Pack, as Nevada leads the all-time series by a 12-4 count, including an 8-2 ledger at Logan. USU's last win at home vs. Nevada was a 7-6 win back in 1950. Nevada has won the last two meetings overall after the teams split their previous four match-ups. The Wolf Pack have won eight of the last 10 meetings. The Nevada series is USU's oldest with a WAC opponent, dating back to 1915. Utah State sports the nation's all-purpose leader in senior WR/KR Kevin Robinson (212.5 ypg), while Nevada has the conference's leading tackler in junior LB Joshua Mauga (11.7 tpg - fifth in NCAA).
