Utah State Cross Country to Run at Montana State Saturday

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's cross country teams return to action this week as both the Aggie men and women compete in the Montana State Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 17, in Bozeman Mont. The meet will be the second of the year for Utah State.
Teams expected to compete in the men's race include Montana State, Idaho State, Utah Valley State, Westminster, MSU Billings, Team ZPT (former Montana State runners) and Utah State. The men will compete in a five-mile race at 9 a.m.
Competing on the women's side is, Montana State, Idaho State, Utah Valley State, Utah, Westminster, MSU Billings, Concordia Minnesota and USU. The women will run a three-mile course starting at 9:45 a.m.
The race will take place at the Bridger Creek Golf Course in Bozeman.
On Sept. 3, the women won the American West Heritage Open with five runners finishing in the top 10. They were led by junior Tiffany Strickland, who completed the 2.72 mile course in 15:36.20. USU's men finished in second place as Trevor Ball placed second, Clark Bryner, third and Vance Twitchell, fourth.
Utah State's next meet is at the Notre Dame Invitational on Sept. 30.
