Utah State Hosts In-State Foe Southern Utah in Home-Opener and Homecoming

QUICKLY — In its home-opener and Homecoming game, Utah State (0-2, 0-0 WAC) hosts in-state foe Southern Utah (1-2, 0-0 GWC) Saturday, Sept. 26. The battle between the Aggies and Thunderbirds will kickoff at 6 p.m. (MT) from USU's Romney Stadium (25,513). Saturday's game will not be on television, but will be available to listen and watch live on the Internet. Saturday is also Utah State Ag Day.
 
ANDERSEN FACING FORMER TEAM - AGAIN — For the second time in three games, USU head coach Gary Andersen will be facing a former team, as he was head coach at Southern Utah in 2003. Andersen is in his first year at the helm of the Aggies after an overall 11-year tenure at Utah, who he led USU against on Sept. 3.
 
COACH TO CURE MD — On Saturday, college football coaches across the country, including Utah State's Gary Andersen and Southern Utah's Ed Lamb, will join to fight one opponent — Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. By wearing an arm band with the Coach to Cure MD insignia, coaches will show their support for Coach to Cure MD, the American Football Coaches Association's (AFCA) newest charitable project.
 
ON THE AIR — All Utah State football games are carried live on KVNU 610 AM and KLZX 95.9 FM in Logan; 1230 AM in Salt Lake City; on KLZX 105.3 FM in Montpelier, Idaho, and on the Internet at www.UtahStateAggies.com by clicking on "Listen Live"... Al Lewis handles the play-by-play duties and Craig Hislop provides analysis.
 
ON THE INTERNET — USU home football games are also streamed on the Internet through "Aggies All Access," by clicking on the "Live Aggies Video" link in the right hand column on the Athletics homepage.
 
GAMETRACKER — Fans can follow all USU Aggie home games through the USU Web site at www.UtahStateAggies.com via GameTracker, a free service, which updates play-by-play and statistics throughout the game.
 
COACHES SHOW ON THE ROAD — The Gary Andersen radio show will rotate between the A&W Restaurant and Firehouse Pizza on Thursday nights (6:05-6:45 p.m. on 610 AM KVNU). The show gives USU fans an opportunity to ask questions and interact with Coach Andersen and players.

Sept. 30, Oct. 15 - A&W Restaurant (710 N Main, Logan, UT)

UP NEXT — Utah State faces another in-state foe Friday, Oct. 2, traveling to Provo, Utah, to tangle with BYU, currently ranked No. 19 in the AP Poll after getting speared by the Seminoles of Florida State, 54-28, Saturday [Sept. 19] at Provo.

USU head coach Gary Andersen will lead the Aggies into action Saturday against Southern Utah in USU's home-opener and Homecoming game. Andersen was head coach at SUU in 2003.
