Utah State Set To Host Track Meet Saturday

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's track teams are set to host the Mark Faldmo Track and Field Invitational on Saturday, April 22, at the Ralph Maughn Track Stadium on the USU campus.
At last year's Invitational the Aggies' recorded six regional qualifying marks and won 10 events. Junior Amber Judd qualified for regionals in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:00.44. Amy Egan, also qualified for regionals in the 800-meters (2:10.75).
On the men's side, senior Justin Wickard captured first place in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.30, while his teammate Dustin Vetica captured first place in the 400-meter hurdles with a regional qualifying mark of 51.09.
At BYU on Saturday [April 15], Utah State had two NCAA regional qualifying marks in hurdler Wickard and senior distance runner Kristen Guymon. Wickard placed second in the 110-meter hurdles to an All-American with a time of 14.03, while Guymon captured first in the 1,500-meters with a time of 4:31.38.
Aggie track heads to UC Irvine on Friday, April 28, and Saturday, April 29.
