Utah State Softball To Hold Coaches and Players Clinics
Coaches' session is Jan. 24 and the players' clinics take place Feb. 7 and then Feb. 8 or 14.
Utah State softball will hold a winter coaching clinic in late January and a two-day player clinic in early February, announced Aggie head coach Deb Bilbao.
A clinic for coaches is Jan. 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Stan Laub Indoor Training Facility on the Utah State campus. The clinic will cover beginning and advanced pitching, weights, slapping, hitting, infield and outfield, bunt defense and tips on college recruiting.
Pre-registration cost for the clinic is $25 prior to Jan. 16, and cost at the door is $40. Staffs of three or more coaches will cost just $20 per person. Lunch is provided.
The two-day clinic for players is Saturday, Feb. 7, and then players will have the choice of Sunday, Feb. 8, or Saturday, Feb. 14, for their second day.
Those attending the clinic will work on hitting, base running, defensive skills and pitching and catching. Lunch will be provided on the first day. The clinics begin at 9 a.m. and run through 4 p.m. each day. Cost is $125 before Jan. 23 and $165 after that date. Team discount rates are available.
