Wells Fargo Donates $10,000 to Utah State
Brent Dickerson, the area president of the Logan branch of Wells Fargo donated $10,000 to Utah State University on behalf of the Wells Fargo Foundation.
“Wells Fargo is a nation-wide company, and it is encouraging to see their investment at a local level for our community because of people like Brent Dickerson,” said Kent Clark, Utah State director of corporate and foundation relations.
The donation was made to two funds. Five-thousand dollars was donated to begin a new program, “Breakfast with Utah State University,” in which experts and academics from Utah State will give presentations to the Salt Lake business community, sharing cutting-edge research and raising awareness of Utah State’s excellence.
The other five-thousand dollar gift will support scholarships in Utah State’s College of Business.
“The scholarships will help fund scholarships for our top business students with majors such as finance, economics and accounting,” said Clark. “Scholarships like this will help us continue to attract the best and increase our competitiveness.”
Dickerson presented a check to Utah State President Stan L. Albrecht in Albrecht’s office on Wednesday, Dec. 21. at 3 p.m.
