Register for Summer Career Exploration Camps
The Utah State University STARS! GEAR UP program offers several summer programs and activities aimed at improving learning and college readiness. These programs and activities take place at Utah State University's Logan campus, as well as Utah Tech and Southern Utah University.
Students explore college life, and discover potential careers and majors to fit their personality, values, and work interests
Geo-Adventure and River’s Edge camps involve students in outdoor education.
College & Career Exploration provides opportunities for students to explore various biology-related careers and the engineering design process, and also includes agriculture and applied sciences, with a focus on food science and aviation. At the camp, students will participate in career-related activities, take classes, develop skills, and network with peers from across the state. Camp classes will be taught by college professors, while college students will act as mentors and guides.

Bryce and Zion National Parks, Utah Tech and SUU
For students entering 11th & 12th grade
One of the new programs is the River’s Edge Backcountry Science camp, which focuses on the biological and geological wonders in Utah through rafting, camping, and trail hikes. The Geo-Adventure Camp takes students to both Bryce and Zion National Parks, as well as nearby universities.
All of the programs are free and include lodging, meals, and activities, provided by USU STARS! GEAR UP, a federally-funded program designed to help students prepare for and succeed in college. GEAR UP works to facilitate partnerships between schools, institutions of higher education, state agencies, and community organizations.
