USU STARS! GEAR UP is here to help students make the most of their time when they are away from the classroom. This two-minute video highlights resources that you can use when learning remotely. These resources include free high quality videos, articles, and practice tests and lessons on a wide variety of subjects, including preparing for AP tests and college entrance exams.
GEAR UP coordinators at participating schools are available to suggest ways that students can get help with their homework, advice on learning from home, and help applying for college. Besides these resources, students can visit campuses across the state virtually, review admission requirements, and even contact universities to get their questions answered.
Accessibility to online resources is one way the USU GEAR UP program is looking to help. We also welcome students, teachers, and families to connect and follow us on social media to learn about upcoming scholarship opportunities, announcements, essay contests, and study tips. We post on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and on YouTube.
Giving schools the tools, they need to communicate to their students and families is important. GEAR UP works in underserved communities offering access to the tools, knowledge, and experience needed to pursue an education after high school. By doing so, USU STARS! GEAR UP supports students and their families to transform Utah's college-going culture in the schools it serves.
