| Description |
This test is used to quantify the total number of aerobic bacteria, as an indicator of milk quality. It may be combined with other differential bacteria counts (See Milk Bacteria Troubleshooting Panel Option 1 and 2) ) to aid in investigation of elevated bulk milk bacteria counts. |
| Sampling Requirements |
Minimum of 6 ml milk each sample in a tube 1/4 to 3/4 full. Freeze samples immediately after collection. Samples must remain cold, preferably frozen. Refer to Best Practice: Milk Samples (link) for detailed instructions on how to collect a bulk milk sample. |
