| Sampling Requirements | Collect serum from clotted blood in a non-additive tube (e.g., plain red top or serum separator). When possible, transfer clear serum off the clot into a new tube. Plasma or excessively hemolyzed samples are unacceptable. |

| Packing Instructions | Label all tubes with unique identifiers. Place tubes in numerical order in boxes designed to hold tubes. Do not submit large numbers of tubes loose in bags. Include a list of sample numbers or e-mail an Excel spreadsheet with numbers to the laboratory (UVDL@usu.edu). |
