| Description | Automated measurement of cortisol in serum by chemiluminescence before and after administration of dexamethasone. Samples may be drawn in low-dose dexamethasone suppression testing to screen for hyperadrenocorticism (Cushing's disease) in dogs and cats. Additionally, samples may be drawn in high-dose dexamethasone suppression test to help differentiate functional adrenal neoplasia from pituitary-dependent hyperadrenocorticism in dogs. |
