Garfield County
Situated in southern Utah, Garfield County spans 5,208 square miles and has a population of just over 5,000, making it the fifth lowest-populated and fifth-largest county in the state. Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Grand Staircase–Escalante, and portions of Glen Canyon are part of this vast and breathtaking county. Because grassroots is key to long-term societal change in the Bolder Way Forward (BWF) Framework, the Garfield County Coalition leaders bring the BWF message to every city, town, business, neighborhood, and family. The County Coalition is part of the BWF Five-County Regional Coalition including Beaver, Garfield, Iron, Kane, and Washington Counties, which together amplify the efforts in the region. Since the “whole is greater than the sum of the parts,” we look at individuals and organizations currently doing the work in each spoke, or focus area, and elevate existing efforts. By lifting women and girls, we lift all residents.
