Garfield County Coalition
Situated in southern Utah, Garfield County spans 5,208 square miles and has a population of just over 5,000, making it the fifth lowest-populated and fifth-largest county in the state. Because grassroots is key to long-term societal change in the Bolder Way Forward Framework, the Garfield County Coalition strives to bring the BWF message to every city, town, business, neighborhood, and family within the county. Since the “whole is greater than the sum of the parts,” the Coalition looks at who is currently doing the work in each spoke, or focus area, and what programs and efforts already support women and families in Garfield County. The co-leads, Executive Leadership Team and members facilitate communication, resource sharing, and new initiatives or programs as needed and connect Garfield County with statewide efforts. By lifting women and girls in our county, we lift all residents. To learn more about what you can do to strengthen the impact of girls and women in Garfield County, read the "What Can I Do?" report.
