Iron County
Iron County is a center of culture, history, and natural beauty, often referred to as the “gateway to Utah’s national parks.” The Utah Shakespeare Festival at Southern Utah University entertains and educates both locals and visitors from across the globe. Because grassroots is key to long-term societal change in the Bolder Way Forward (BWF) Framework, the Iron County Coalition leaders bring the BWF message to every city, town, business, neighborhood, and family. The County Coalition is part of the BWF Five-County Regional Coalition including Beaver, Garfield, Kane, and Washington Counties, which together amplify the efforts in the region. Since the “whole is greater than the sum of the parts,” we look at individuals and organizations currently doing the work in each spoke, or focus area, and elevate existing efforts. By lifting women and girls, we lift all residents.
