Kane County
Kane County’s history ranges from pre-historic dinosaurs, indigenous peoples, early explorers and settlers, western movie history, and modern-day explorers. Known as "Little Hollywood," it was the Wild West setting for innumerable Western movies and is still a premier outdoor hub for today’s adventurers. Because grassroots is key to long-term societal change in the Bolder Way Forward (BWF) Framework, the Kane County Coalition leaders bring the BWF message to every city, town, business, neighborhood, and family. The County Coalition is part of the BWF Five-County Regional Coalition including Beaver, Garfield, Iron, Kane, and Washington Counties, which together amplify the efforts in the region. Since the “whole is greater than the sum of the parts,” we look at individuals and organizations currently doing the work in each spoke, or focus area, and elevate existing efforts. By lifting women and girls, we lift all residents.
