Washington County Coalition
In addition to being one of the fastest-growing counties in the nation, Washington County is known for red sandstone, red soil, dark pine-covered mountains, lava flows, cliffs and canyons, cottonwood-lined streams and rivers, rolling dry country of mesquite, and Joshua trees.
Because grassroots is key to long-term societal change in the Bolder Way Forward Framework, the Washington County Coalition strives to bring the BWF message to every city, town, business, neighborhood, and family within the county. Since the “whole is greater than the sum of the parts,” the Coalition looks at who is currently doing the work in each spoke, or focus area, and what programs and efforts already support women and families in Washington county. The co-leads, Executive Leadership Team and members facilitate communication, resource sharing, and new initiatives or programs as needed and connect Washington County with statewide efforts. By lifting women and girls in our county, we lift all residents. To learn more about what you can do to strengthen the impact of girls and women in Washington County, read the "What Can I Do?" report.
