A Bolder Way Forward Advocates,

Greetings! We are thrilled to share this month’s highlights from A Bolder Way Forward (BWF):

Take & Share the Annual Fall Survey: The UWLP is conducting a statewide study to explore more deeply Utahns’ understanding, awareness, attitudes, concerns, and perceptions around challenges that women and girls face (third year in a row). This survey is part of our BWF metrics, and we welcome all individuals living in the state age 18 or older to participate. The survey will take 10-20 minutes to complete. Dr. Susan Madsen is the primary researcher for this study. If you have questions or concerns, you can contact her at uwlp@usu.edu (USU IRB 15264). You can participate by clicking here [participants can also take it in Spanish]. We encourage you to share this opportunity with others so that we can hear from as many Utahns as possible!

Building Momentum - Stay Informed & Get Involved: Explore the latest happenings, initiatives, and meaningful ways to engage with Spokes and County Coalitions on the BWF Blog. This movement is gaining exciting traction across the state, and we invite you to connect with the efforts that inspire you most!

Movement-Wide Awareness Campaigns: October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and National Work & Family Month. As a BWF advocate, you can help raise statewide awareness and action by referencing these campaign plans, which include key messaging, events, calls to action, and resources to share with others.

A Bolder Way Forward Resolutions: Carbon County and the City of Millcreek have recently passed resolutions supporting BWF, with more to come. Talk to your town, city, and county leaders and learn more about Bolder Way Forward Towns, Cities, and Counties.

Welcome New Partners: We are pleased to welcome 16 new BWF Partners: Momivate, Cope Cosmetic Dermatology, Ruff Haven, Better Hiring Solutions, XL PR, RUCD Head Start, CERCUT, Childcare Resource Agency of Eastern Utah, Ancestry, White Label Advisors, Game On! Sports 4 Girls, Castleview Hospital, Castle County Radio, Gemini Wealth, Journey of Hope, and UtahSWENext. Both Key Partners and Change Partners are vital to this work! BOLD Women Initiative: Our Bold Women are wrapping up their campaigns this month, but there is still time to support this initiative! Join Missy Greis for a “Bold Bingo” event tonight (October 23 at 5:30pm in Salt Lake City), and help Emily Hayes match a donation of $7,200 in the next 72 hours (make a donation here).
