September 2025 Newsletter - A Bolder Way Forward

A Bolder Way Forward Advocates,

Good morning! We have many exciting announcements from A Bolder Way Forward (BWF) this month:

Updates on Spokes and County Coalitions: We have published recent updates from Spokes and County Coalitions on our BWF Blog. These updates include information on key happenings, current initiatives, and specific ways to get involved. There are many exciting efforts happening across the movement, and we encourage you to connect with those that are of interest to you!

New Resources:

Movement-Wide Awareness Campaigns: This month, we have two campaigns to raise awareness on key issues. The Finance Spoke is highlighting Personal Finance Awareness Month, and the Political & Civic Representation Spoke is focusing on National Voter Registration Day. As a BWF advocate, you can help raise statewide awareness and action by referencing the Personal Finance and the Voter Registration campaign plans. Both include key messaging, calls to action, and resources to share with others.

A Bolder Way Forward Resolutions: We are thrilled to share that Midvale City, North Logan City, and West Valley City have recently passed resolutions supporting BWF, with more to come. Talk to your city and county leaders and learn more about Bolder Way Forward Towns, Cities, and Counties.

Campus Communities: Faculty, staff, and students at Brigham Young University, the University of Utah, and Utah Valley University have met to discuss how they can be part of the change and lift girls, women, and families through Campus Communities. Other colleges and universities are invited to consider what they can do on their campuses, and ideas for faculty members to engage students in impactful projects can be found in this Faculty Guide.

Welcome New Partners: This past month, we set a record and welcomed 18 new BWF Partners! These include: Center for the Arts at Kayenta, Think Brilliantly, Hit2Heal, The Profitability Project, Utah Outdoor Therapies, UVU Center for Social Impact, Ogletree Deakins, Togetherworks, RMC Counseling, Know Your Lemons, Planned Parenthood Association of Utah, USU Center for Intersectional Gender Studies & Research, Huckleberry Moose, New Hope Crisis Center, The Boob Bus, The People’s Health Clinic, Women’s Wellness Summit, and The Dove Center. Both Key Partners and Change Partners are vital to this work! Learn more about becoming a BWF Partner here and contact our Partnership Coordinator (Kathryn Newman) at kathryn.newman@usu.edu to get involved.

BOLD Women Initiative: We’ve launched a peer-led fundraising and awareness campaign inspired by the Women of Impact movement. This campaign brings together women with influence, passion, and purpose to collectively drive measurable change in our community. Each participant - our "Bold Women" - will lead a campaign to support and grow the reach of A Bolder Way Forward's mission and ensure that the BWF movement continues to help more Utah women, girls, and families thrive. We encourage you to view each Bold Woman’s campaign and support their efforts!
