July 2025 Newsletter

Colleagues,

Good morning! I have a number of Utah Women & Leadership Project (UWLP) announcements for July:

First, I am pleased to announce the release of a new research report today titled “Utah Women and Mental Health: A 2025 Update” (with co-authors Sadie Wilde, Dr. Chloe Bhowmick, and Kolene Anderson). Additionally, a few weeks ago we released a new research snapshot titled “Voting and Civic Engagement Among Utah Women: A 2025 Update” (with Corinne Clarkson and Kolene Anderson).

Second, we have a few resources to highlight this month:

Third, we had a fabulous 3rd Annual A Bolder Way Forward (BWF) Summit on June 6th with about 800 individuals attending in person and another 200 online! The opening session was recorded and available for you to watch and/or share. If you are not receiving the BWF monthly newsletter, you can subscribe anytime. The foundation is now set, and it is time to start growing at a faster pace. We have several openings for leaders across the movement, including some in rural counties. We also need advocates to share BWF information with cities, towns, counties, faith-based congregations, businesses, and beyond. Email me or complete this interest survey if you are ready to engage!

Finally, check out some key articles and media published this past month:

Join us on the UWLP social media platforms: LinkedInFacebookX (formerly Twitter)Instagram, and YouTube. Email uwlp@usu.edu to let us know you want to receive these updates to your own inbox if you received a forwarded email.

Enjoy July!

Susan
