A Bolder Way Forward’s (BWF) 3rd Annual Summit is a celebration of the progress made in the second year (of seven), an opportunity to learn more about the movement, and a place to become more engaged and inspired about this critical work! The statewide movement focuses on making Utah a place where more girls and women can thrive in any setting. Launched in June 2023, a BWF focuses on creating societal change in Utah. A BWF is framed around systems thinking, which is that “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” In Utah, we have been working on related efforts for too long using the “parts” strategy; BWF organizes a shift that moves us together as a system. Over the past two years, 18 areas of focus (spokes) have been organized and established along with 12 additional impact teams to assist with issues that permeate across and influence each area of focus. BWF coalitions have also been established in each of Utah’s 29 counties. Thousands of people have come onboard to engage! This event provides an update on the momentum that a BWF has created since June 2023.
