Our Mission
Who We Are
The Veterans Resource Office (VRO) provides Service Members, Veterans, and their Families (SMVF) with the highest level of support as they pursue their academic, career, and personal goals at Utah State University. Through assistance, education, outreach, and peer support, we provide access to available resources on campus, through federal and state Veterans Affairs programs, and in the community.
What We Do
As the hub for the SMVF community at USU, the VRO is a one-stop shop for service members, veterans, and families to access resources, assistance, and support.

Benefits Assistance
We help eligible students apply for and receive their GI Bill® education benefits with the expertise of our school certifying officials.

Academic & Financial Support
We counsel students on their academic journey, help them access other resources to pay for school, and attain success in the classroom.

Veterans Affairs
We help students navigate other federal and state VA programs and the benefits and resources offered to eligible students.

Reintegration & Social Support
We assist students with the transition from service to academic life by providing mentorship programs, supportive social spaces, and connections to healthcare resources.

Community Engagement & Advocacy
We connect students to additional community resources, educate and collaborate with other university entities, and advocate on behalf of our students.
GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). More information about education benefits offered by VA is available at the official U.S. government Web site at benefits.va.gov/gibill.
