Hailey Bown began her piano studies at age 5 and has studied with Shannon Bown and Cassandria Mayfield. She currently studies under Dr. Sasha Kasman Laude, and is pursuing a degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at Utah State University. Hailey loves performing and has held several solo recitals. She also regularly performs in competitions, and has been awarded prizes in competitions including the University of Utahâ??s SummerArts Concerto Competition, the Salt Lake Piano Competition, and the UMTA Concerto Competition. Hailey is passionate about musical collaboration, and spent many years playing viola and piano with school orchestras. She wants to share her passion for music with her students and create an environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves through piano.
