This educational and competitive event offers piano students the opportunity to set repertoire goals, receive constructive performance feedback, and compete for prizes and awards.
PianoFest takes place in the Chase Fine Arts Center on the Utah State University campus, and is open to students of all ages and skill levels. Participants may register for one or more categories, with divisions organized by age. Each performer receives adjudicated feedback on their prepared repertoire. This is an open competition, and the public is welcome to attend performances.
An Awards Ceremony will be held at 1 pm in the Daines Concert Hall where 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners are recognized, and 1st place winners will perform. The registration deadline is March 1. Applicants will receive their room and time assignments one week before the event.

Rules
- PianoFest is open to ages 5-18
- Playing from memory is encouraged but not required
- Students must bring original music for adjudicators
- Playing one movement from multi-movement works is acceptable
- Repeats are optional
- Measures must be numbered
- Copies downloaded from sites like IMSLP.org should have the name of the website written on the copy
- Within each division, students will be grouped by age
- Comment sheets and certificates will be available for pick up at the Awards Ceremony
- Registration fee is $15 per division, no refunds
