Biography

I began studying piano at age 4 with Bridget Johansen, and I also studied under Kimi Kawashima. I have been immersed in the music community my whole life, with both my parents working in the music industry. I am currently a Sophomore at USU studying to receive a bachelorâ??s in Piano Performance and Pedagogy under Dr. Cahill Smith, while also pursuing a degree in Interior Design. I have had the opportunity to perform in many recitals, competitions, and festivals throughout my years as a pianist, and I have received many awards. Music has always been an important part of my life, and I have always found joy in piano. I hope to help students find the same love and joy in the piano I have, and to help them learn the benefits of practicing and hard work. I have been very lucky in the mentors and teachers that I have had, and have been taught many skills that have allowed me to really flourish and refine my skills as a pianist.
