Biography

Piano has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. What began as a childhood love of music grew into years of study with Dr. Yu-Jane Yang at Weber State University and Dr. Kevin Olson at Utah State University. I graduated from Weber State with a BA in Communications and a minor in Music. I was grateful to receive a full-tuition piano scholarship and to perform with the Weber State Orchestra after winning the university's Concerto Night competition. I am currently continuing my musical education through piano pedagogy courses at USU as I grow as a teacher. I enjoy teaching students of all ages and levels, and I believe the joy of music can be found at every stage of a student's musical journey. My goal is to help students build a strong foundation in technique and music theory while also developing their confidence, creativity, and musical expression. I want my students to understand and enjoy the music they play and to discover that music can be a meaningful and rewarding part of their lives. I am excited to be part of the YC!
