Biography

Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, I started playing piano at the age of six and never looked back. I am currently a senior in Utah State’s Music Therapy program with an emphasis in piano. At USU, I’ve studied under Sarah Hamatake, Emily Ezola, Ryan Conger, and Kevin Olson. I am trained in classical and jazz piano and have been a member of USU’s Jazz Band and Jazz Combos during my time here. I have performed in numerous concerts and have also taken part in a variety of collaborative projects.

I have 4 years of experience with teaching and working with kids, and am particularly passionate about working with children with disabilities. As a teacher, I strive to foster a welcoming environment where a student's love for music can grow. I believe that music education is one of the best pathways for developing important skills that will help the student for the rest of their lives, and I want to help students build these skills through music. I also believe that music is a pathway for self-expression and it is important to me that my students be able to express themselves musically and develop their creativity. I believe everyone is teachable and that it is never too late to start learning.
