Saturday, March 25, 2023

The USU Piano area & Youth Conservatory are excited to announce this year's PianoFest, an educational and competitive event designed to give piano students the opportunity to set repertoire goals, to receive constructive feedback for their performances, and earn opportunities for prizes and other awards.

The event is open to students of all ages and abilities living in the Intermountain Area. In each division, students will play their piece for judges. Following the performance, students will receive written feedback. Students can register to compete in one or more divisions, and will be grouped into categories by age. This is an open competition, anybody is welcome to listen to students perform.

Between 11-2 pm families will gather in the Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall for an Award Ceremony where a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize will be awarded and 1st place winners perform. Students selected as winners who are not in attendance will not be able to receive their award. Teachers, parents, siblings, etc. can not accept an award in place of PianoFest participants. All applicants will receive their room and time assignment one week before the event.
