Young Musicians

Private lessons and Young Musicians class is held weekly. Students take a minimum of 13 private lessons during the Fall and Spring semeser.
What does tuition include?
- The opportunity for your child to study music with an enthusiastic USU piano major. All YC teachers are mentored and observed regularly by members of the USU piano faculty.
- Participation in annual YC events including Piano Olympics and monthly YC Recitals.
- A parent and student account with mymusicstaff.com
- The chance to connect and engage with other kids learning music through monthly group classes and annual YC events.

Tuition Policy
- Tuition is due on the 1st of each month, and includes the cost of all lessons/group classes scheduled for the upcoming month.
- All scheduled lessons for each month will be available for parents to see in advance on mymusicstaff.com
- Lessons are weekly. If students are unable to attend a lesson for the upcoming month, parents must make sure this is reflected on the mymusicstaff.com calendar before the month begins.
- An invoice will be automatically generated from the mymusicstaff.com calendar and sent by email on the first of each month with a 'pay now' button included.
- Tuition for each month is due one week after the invoice is received. A $10 late fee will automatically be added to your account if payment is not received on time.
- If after three weeks tuition has still not been paid, lessons will be terminated.
- Accounts may be referred to outside collection agencies, including small claims courts, if they are delinquent over 50 days. Further, the parent or legal guardian is responsible for any charges incurred by the YC when persuing delinquent payments.
- The YC reserves the right to to terminate a child's enrollment at any time for reasons consistent with the best interest of the YC. In such a case, a pro rata portion of the tuition is refunded.
Commitment
- All students should practice a minimum of 30-minutes a day, five days a week.
- A 30-day notice must be given before withdrawing from the YC. If notice is provided, tuition will be refunded accordingly.
- Participation in the annual YC events is encouraged.
- Students enrolled in the YC must have a piano or keyboard at home.
Cancellation Policy
- Lessons canceled by the instructor will always be made up.
- Lessons canceled by the student or parent without 24-hours notice will not be made up.
- All make-up lessons should be scheduled with teacher directly.
Photo/Video Release
- The Youth Conservatory has permission to use photographs/videos of students on websites, posters, news letters, social meda, and other promotional materials unless requested otherwise in writing.
YC tuition is used in the following ways:
- to support events such as Monster Concert, Holiday Recital, PianoFest, and others
- to pay teachers who have completed the required pedagogy courses
- to pay for administrative staff for bookkeeping and other office work
- to pay for teaching materials for private lessons and group classes
- to pay for teacher development conferences, as well as pedagogical training through visitng artists and masterclasses
