Human Library: Find Out the Rest of the Story
University Libraries at Utah State University presents its Human Library Sept. 25-28. Books are available for check-out from 1-4 p.m. each day at Merrill-Cazier Library, Room 101.
This is the second time University Libraries has held the internationally based event.
The Human Library offers “living books” to be checked out for a conversation. Each human book is unique and has something to share regarding his or her experiences, perspectives, values or beliefs, event organizers said. The interchange fosters understanding through the shared conversation.
Readers can visit the Human Library any time during the open hours and peruse the list of titles or check the catalog of titles online. Then, choose an available title and have a one-on-one conversation with the book. Conversations can be up to 30 minutes.
The book titles in the catalog are varied and include “Conversations Over Chemo Cocktails,” “A Philosophy Major Finds God,” “A Life Abroad” and “A Victim No More.” There are nearly 20 titles to check out.

Everyone is invited to the Human Library and there is no charge.
