CHaSS students Invited to "A Light on the Hill" Event

College of Humanities and Social Sciences students will once again kick off the school year at Utah State University with a candlelight reception and celebration beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the amphitheater on Old Main Hill.

Dean John C. Allen will lead the “A Light on the Hill” event that begins with refreshments at 7:30 p.m. and culminates with the candlelight convocation at 8.

“Whether you are learning the world’s languages and cultures, exploring answers to the great questions of why we do the things we do, investigating what motivates us to be good or how to communicate who we are and what we believe to others, you are a member of the college that studies people,” said Dean Allen. “You are part of a community of scholars, so come and meet some of them.”

All CHaSS faculty members, club organizers, new and returning students and alumni are invited to attend this special opening week tradition.
