Registration is now open for the 2018 slate of Finkbeiner Basketball Camps, hosted at Utah State.

The Utah State women’s basketball staff is offering a registration discount of 30 percent for all USU faculty and staff. The discount can be applied by entering the code USU30 at checkout.

The summer slate will open with the Fundamental Camp and Offensive Skills/Shooting Camp, held Monday, June 25 through Wednesday, June 27. The Fundamental Camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Wayne Estes Center, while the Offensive Skills/Shooting Camp will go from 1-4:30 p.m., in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.

The Fundamental Camp covers all areas of basketball. Campers will be coached in ball handling, offense, defense and rebounding. The camp is designed to help girls enjoy the sport and is open to all skill levels. The camp will include games, prizes, and competitions.

The Offensive Skills/ Shooting Camp is a focused experience on the offensive side of the ball. The clinic will cover shooting technique, passing technique, cuts to get open, 1-on-1 moves and more. Campers will learn drills to improve their game even when camp is over. All skill levels are welcome and the camp will teach players to enjoy the game and have fun.

Both the Fundamental and Offensive Skills/Shooting camps are open to 72 participants, entering grades K-8. Registration is $85 and includes a camp T-shirt. Players who register for both camps can do so at a discounted rate of $150. Those who participate in both will also receive a camp basketball, but will need to provide their own lunch.

The final Finkbeiner Basketball Camp of the summer will be the High School Development Camp on Thursday, June 28. Registration will open at 9 a.m., in the Wayne Estes Center, with the clinic running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The High School Development Camp is designed to improve skill, introduce new and innovated college training techniques and learn about the college recruiting process. Campers will be coached by Division I coaches and student-athletes.

Early registration, completed by Sunday, June 24, is $70 and will increase to $80 after that. The fee includes a camp T-shirt and lunch. The High School Development Camp is limited to 66 participants and is open to players entering grades 9-12.
