USU Seeks Input from Campus Community on Diversity and Inclusion

Utah State University has released a survey to campus community members about their experiences and perceptions of diversity, equity and inclusion on USU’s campuses.

“Understanding our community’s experiences with diversity and inclusion is an important step toward ensuring USU’s future success and that of all of our students and employees,” said USU President Noelle Cockett.

The Diversity and Inclusion Survey opened on October 28 and will run through November 22.

USU contracted an outside vendor to ensure responses remain anonymous and no personal identifying information is collected from participants. Each member of the university community has received an invitation to their preferred email address to complete a survey that is connected to their role as a student, faculty, staff or administrator. Community members will a weekly email until they complete the survey.

As a thank you, USU is offering everyone who completes the survey a chance to win one of forty $25 Amazon gift cards.

President Cockett established a task force on diversity and inclusion in spring 2019 to assess the “campus climate” on diversity and inclusion at the university and use that assessment to develop a five-year strategic plan for USU.
