New Cadet Orientation Program

Prerequisites

Please visit the links below.

1. Please ensure you are registered for the following Aerospace Studies (AS) courses:
   1. AS1020 – Competition and Security – 1 - Credit
   2. AS1120 – Leadership Laboratory I – 1 - Credit
   3. AS3060 – Physical Fitness Training – 1 - Credit
2. Create a WINGS account
3. You MUST schedule these two appointments before NCOP: 
   1. New Student Enrollment - This appointment is to complete the required administrative paperwork to participate in AFROTC.
   2. Uniform Issue & Fitting – This appointment is to get your uniforms issued for the program.
   3. If you are unable make the appointments before NCOP, please reach out to the faculty staff at det860@usu.edu.
   What to bring to your Administrative Appointment:
   1. Laptop
   2. Social Security Card – Bring the original and we will make a certified copy. Please ensure your card is signed beforehand.
   3. Birth Certificate - Bring original and we will make a certified copy.
   4. All prior “unofficial” college transcripts.
   5. Parents/Guardians' address and phone numbers.
   6. AFROTC Form 28, Pre-Participatory Sports Physical Form, and have it signed by a licensed physician no earlier than one month prior to the start of the semester
   If Applicable:
   1. Eagle Scout Card or Certificate - Bring original and we will make a certified copy
   2. JROTC Certificate - Bring original and we will make a certified copy
   3. Civil Air Patrol Certificates - Bring original and we will make a certified copy
   4. Previous Air Force, Army, or Navy ROTC enrollment. If applicable, please bring the name of the school attended.
   5. Naturalization Certificate.
   6. Marriage Certificate.
   7. ACT/SAT/AFOQT scores.
   8. This is required if you have prior service in the military.
   9. If you do not have a DD214 and have prior service in the military.
   10. Record of Disenrollment from Officer Candidate Training.
   11. If you previously had a Department of Defense Medical Evaluation Review Board (DODMERB) qualification, please notify the non-commissioned officers at the detachment during orientation. Completion of these required items will establish the new cadet's status on the Web Intensive New Gains System (WINGS) Portal as an "applicant".
   12. Civil Involvement Form AND copies of citations or court summons from all civil involvement.
   13. If you are under the age of 18, please have a parent or legal guardian with you.

       If you do not bring all required documents and items to your administrative appointment, you will be turned away and must reschedule once you have all the necessary requirements.
