Lt Col Ryan Andreasen


Lieutenant Colonel Ryan D. Andreasen is the Commander of Air Force ROTC Detachment 860 at Utah State University. As the Department Head and Professor of Aerospace Studies he is responsible to the University president and Department of the Air Force for recruiting, training, and educating over 120 cadets as officer candidates on their path toward commissioning into the United States Air Force and Space Force. Prior to this assignment, he served as the Commander of the 71st Special Operations Squadron where he oversaw the employment of a $784-million aircraft fleet, evaluating and instructing both students and cadre in CV-22 flight operations including NVG low-level penetration of hostile airspace, terrain following radar flight, aerial refueling, low-visibility approaches, and the infiltration and exfiltration of special operations forces.
Lt Col Andreasen entered the Air Force in 2006 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at Utah State University. He holds a BS in Aviation Maintenance Management, an MS in Aeronautics, and an MS in Military Operational Art & Science. Lt Col Andreasen is an evaluator pilot and has served in multiple flying assignments for Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) including multiple combat deployments and contingency response operations.
Operations Officer
Maj Krystal Henry


Maj Krystal “Nova” Henry is the Recruiting Officer for Detachment 860 and leads classroom instruction for the AS 100 level classes. She received her commission in the Air Force through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at the University of Washington in 2015, and holds both a BS in Chemistry and an MBA from West Texas A&M University. Maj Henry is a Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) pilot with both instructor and flight examiner qualifications. She has served in a variety of operational aviation assignments in units spanning Air Combat Command (ACC) and Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), supporting Operations INHERENT RESOLVE, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL, and ENDURING SENTINEL. In her prior assignment, Maj Henry was an Executive Officer for the HQ AFSOC Operations Center as well as an MQ-9 Instructor Pilot, commanding MQ-9 missions in direct combat support of the nation's elite Special Operations Forces and instructing aircrew executing high-priority missions requiring persistent, armed intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) and close air support (CAS).
Recruiting Officer
Capt Corey Hall


Captain Corey Hall is the Recruiting Officer for Detachment 860 and leads classroom instruction for the AS 100 level classes. He holds a BS in Occupational Safety and an MS in Organizational Leadership from Columbia Southern University. Captain Hall originally enlisted in the Air Force as a Bioenvironmental Engineering Apprentice in June 2003. As a first term Airman, he cross-trained into Fire Protection in 2007 and in 2008, deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. In 2009, he again cross-trained under the Noncommissioned Officer Retraining Program into Safety where he served as the Ground Safety Manager for Aviano Air Base, Italy. In 2015, as a Master Sergeant, he was selected under the Developmental Special Duty program to become a Military Training Instructor for Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base. In 2018, he commissioned from Officer Training School at Maxwell AFB. As a 21R Logistics Readiness Officer, he has served as the Fuels Flight Commander, Installation Deployment Officer, and Vehicle Management Flight Commander within the Logistics Readiness Squadron. He has also served as the Logistics Flight Commander for the Air Force’s Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape School and as the Flight Commander, Operations for 5th Combat Communication Support Squadron at Robins Air Force Base, leading a 45-member, 10 AFSC flight, managing logistics for 4 units in a 493-member Combat Communications Group.
Education Officer
Capt Tukker Willson


Capt Tukker Willson is the Education Officer for Detachment 860 and is responsible for academic instruction for the AS 200 level classes. He originally enlisted in the Air Force in 2009 as an Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Technician. Following his enlisted time, Capt Willson received his commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at the University of St. Thomas in 2018. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a MS in Engineering. Capt Willson is a Civil Engineer Officer, with experience in Cost Estimating and Project Management positions, in addition to multiple Flight Commander assignments and deployments in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and INHERENT RESOLVE. Prior to his current assignment, Capt Willson was an EOD Instructor for the Defense Nuclear Weapons School, where he oversaw the execution of five courses, serving 400 students annually from the joint Department of Defense community, FBI, and National Laboratories.
NCOIC Knowledge Operations Management
SSgt Madison Chaisiri


SSgt Madison Chaisiri is the NCOIC of Knowledge Operations Management at AFROTC Detachment 860, and is responsible for all administrative processes and documentation for roughly 110 cadets who are seeking to become officers in the Department of the Air Force. She oversees cadet life-cycle personnel actions, ensuring the accuracy of all records and documentation. In her previous assignments, SSgt Chaisiri served as Commander Support Staff assigned to the 90th Fighter Generation Squadron and the 962nd Airborne Air Control Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf AFB. She was responsible for managing key programs such as in-processing, out-processing, evaluations, decorations, leave tracking, and commander-directed actions.
AFROTC Training Instructor
TSgt Stephanie Butler


TSgt Stephanie Butler arrived at Detachment 860 in May 2023 and is responsible for advising on cadet academics, professional development, military training and discipline, and the handling of office tasks like commissioning documentation. In her previous assignment, TSgt Butler was a Flight Sergeant at the 96th Security Forces Squadron at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. She provided integrated defense and law enforcement support for the Air Force’s largest installation encompassing a 724 square miles range. She guided immediate response to all alarms and incidents by controlling patrols to resolve incidents and contingency security operations. Finally, she implemented flight training plans, and mentored 48 personnel to ensure the mission readiness of the 96th Test Wing and it’s tenet units.
Administrative Staff
Kristi Fatuesi


Kristi Fatuesi is the Staff Assistant for the Department of Aerospace Studies, Detachment 860. She joined the department in July 2023 after spending the past twenty years as an Army spouse. She has lived in various places like Alaska, Washington, Germany, and Kansas. Logan has been home-base for her family throughout all the military years. She is an alumnus of USU. As the lone civilian in the Cadre, she acts as the university liaison between USU and Det 860 and oversees the cadet uniform program, academic advising, and day to day workings of the department.
