The Bingham Research Center offers professional 3D printing to USU affiliates, students, and the public using a Bambu Lab H2C multi-material printer. Bring us a print-ready model file and we'll produce durable, high-detail parts in a range of engineering plastics.

Printer Capabilities

  • Maximum part size: 330 × 320 × 325 mm (about 13 × 12.6 × 12.8 in). Larger designs can be split and joined.
  • Multi-color / multi-material: up to 6 colors plus a dedicated support material in a single print.
  • Detail: 0.4 mm nozzle standard; finer or coarser nozzles available on request for fine detail or faster throughput.
  • Enclosed, filtered, heated chamber (nozzles to 350°C, chamber to 65°C) for high-temperature engineering materials.
  • AI-monitored printing for reliable, consistent results.

Available Materials

We commonly stock PLA, PETG, TPU (flexible), and ABS. Engineering-grade and fiber-reinforced filaments (PC, PA/nylon, carbon- or glass-fiber composites) are available on request and for an added material fee. Contact us if you're unsure which material fits your application.

How It Works

  1. Prepare your model. Have a print-ready file in STL, 3MF, or STEP format. One object per file is preferred.
  2. Get a cost estimate using our online calculator.
  3. Contact us (below) with your file, chosen material/color, and any quantity or deadline.
  4. We review and confirm printability, orientation, and final price.
  5. Pick up your print. Typical turnaround is 3 business days, depending on size and queue.

File Requirements

  • Accepted formats: STL, 3MF, STEP.
  • Models should be watertight (manifold) with no inverted faces.
