Blue Plate Research

Blue Plate Research brings together state and community decision-makers with premier researchers to explore the health and well-being challenges facing Utah. The presentation events focus on sharing easy-to-understand research with Utah’s health advocates, statewide stakeholders, and the general public. The December event will feature Dr. Aryn Kamerer, an Assistant Professor and Researcher of Audiology at USU. Dr. Kamerer is working to improve how hearing is tested and understood. Many of the hearing tests used today are based on methods developed in the 1800s and still rely heavily on trial and error and a doctor's interpretation. By combining EEG technology, brainwave analysis, and AI-driven tools, her research focuses on developing more accurate and reliable ways to measure hearing, understand how the brain processes sound, and identify hearing-related conditions. This event is co-sponsored by the USU Office of Research and Regence.
