USU Observatory Public Viewing Night

Special Event

All are invited to view the night sky from the telescope of the USU Observatory, located on the roof of the Science Engineering Research (SER) Building on the USU campus. Admission is free. For directions and parking information, please visit the observatory website at http://www.physics.usu.edu/observatory/ . Please visit this website prior to arrival on Nov. 5, as the gathering will be cancelled in the event of cloudy or inclement weather. Also, please note the observatory's telescope is accessible by stairs only, from the building's rooftop deck.

Immunization and Booster Clinic

Special Event

Be Well and Bear River Health Department are hosting another Immunization and Booster Clinic for employees, their dependents, and students. Registration is required to participate and masks are encouraged for all ages 2 years and older. If you are sick or not feeling well, please stay home and do not attend the Immunization Clinic. For a list of vaccines available and to register, click 'More Info' under Website or visit www.wellness.usu.edu/services/immunization-clinics.

For statewide employees or those not able to attend, vaccinations and immunizations are free for benefitted employees and their eligible dependents. Visit any pharmacy, clinic, or hospital within the Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah network. Make sure to present your insurance card at the time of service.

Extravaganza Junior

Society of Women Engineer's are hosting an "Extravaganza Junior" event where elementary students in 3rd-5th grade are invited to visit Utah State Universities' College of Engineering. This event will be made up of STEM workshops, and Engineering Activities for elementary students to get involved with, and have fun doing, all the while learning the importance of bringing STEM to future generations.

We invite you to walk with us to share hope for members of our community who need our support - our friends, family and neighbors - those in recovery from substance use disorders. We will promote education, awareness, prevention, and resources for every member of our community.

CELEBRATING RECOVERY
Meet local, community partners who provide information, free resources, naloxone kits and more. Substance use disorder affects everyone. Learn what you can do to help reduce stigma and harm of SUD/OUD in our community and CELEBRATE those who are currently seeking help or in active recovery.

This Grateful Gathering event is a celebration of appreciation for the work of USU Staff members. Come grab a piece of pie and join us in giving thanks!

As part of this event, you are invited to share your words of gratitude to a USU colleague or two online through our Qualtrics form! If submitted by November 15th, this message could be shared at the Logan Campus Gratitude Gathering on November 18th (in the survey, you can choose to have your message included in the PowerPoint).

USU Physics' November Demo Show

Special Event

Inquiring minds of all ages are invited to the USU Department of Physics' 14th annual November Demo Show! Enjoy an evening of non-stop science demonstrations. This year's theme is "Light There Be Light" and demonstrations feature incandescence, fluorescence, iridescence, lasers and more! Admission is free.

Parking is available in the outdoor surface parking lot south of Old Main and in the university parking terraces at 700 East 600 North and at 850 East 700 North in Logan.
