Blood Battle with the American Red Cross

Special Event

There is an ongoing blood shortage in the United States right now, due to natural disasters and the pandemic. Utah State and Weber State are going head to head in the name of addressing the blood shortage during Blood Battle 2022. Each school has a goal of collecting 500 units of blood! American Red Cross teams will be on hand from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM every day for four days so that donors can step up and help community members they may never meet. Appointments are recommended this year, but walk-ins will be accommodated on a first come, first served basis. Go to redcrossblood.org and type ZIP code 84322 or the sponsor code BLEEDBLUE in the search box in the top right corner to make an appointment. Many volunteers are also needed to staff the check-in and snack tables. Sign up for a shift or two by logging into USU's service database, found at usu.givepulse.com.

Society of Women Engineer's Opening Social

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is hosting our Opening Social where they will be introducing the leadership of the organization, presenting SWE's plans for club socials, K-12 outreach, Professional Development within the engineering college, etc., and providing dinner. Transforming Communities Institute Launch Event

Join us for a special launch event for the Transforming Communities Institute (TCI) on September 15, 2022, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the USU David B. Haight Alumni Center in Logan (555 N Champ Dr, Logan, UT 84321). TCI staff and faculty will share information about our newest initiatives and work from the past year. Additionally, we will honor two special community advocates whose work and dedication in their communities have improved the quality of life for others. Desserts will be served. 2022 Utah Agricultural Products Barbecue

Special Event

The barbecue will feature Utah-grown beef, dairy products, pork, onion rings, salad, lamb, corn, apples, Creamies, and more. The event is sponsored by Utah’s Own. All proceeds, including your donation, go to the Utah Agricultural Leadership Endowment at USU to help train future generations of Utah’s farmers, ranchers, and agribusiness people through scholarship support.
