Cache Valley Native Plants Potting

We will be meeting in the Natural Resources Atrium at 10:15am before making the ~30 minute drive to the nursery. Rides are available, however seating is limited. Statewide Campuses Student Research Symposium

The Statewide Student Research Symposium is a sister event for the Student Research Symposium held on the USU Logan Campus. This event provides an opportunity for statewide students conducting research across the state to share their work with peers, faculty, and community members. USU Salt Lake will feature oral presentation sessions on campus from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM in Room 142. Students interested in presenting must register by March 30, 2026. Join EcoArt to learn how to make nature-inspired cyanotypes. Cyanotypes are a kind of photographic print that use ultraviolet light to create blue prints. All materials and instructions will be provided, including snacks! This event is free and open to the community.

Come make a custom reusable beeswax wrap to take home! Beeswax wraps are a great sustainable alternative to plastic wrap or ziploc bags for food storage. All materials and instructions will be provided, and there will be pizza! This event is free and open to the community.

Student Activities
Drop in to our all-day sew & swap to learn how to mend and upcycle your old clothes, or swap them for something new. We will have different stations with instructions for different mending techniques, and volunteers there to answer your sewing questions. Tons of sewing materials provided, including sewing machines, patches, scrap fabric, pins, embroidery thread, embroidery hoops, and snacks! This event is free and open to the community.

Come help the USU Student Organic Farm prep for their growing season! We will be helping out with projects such as harvesting, weeding, and fence-building. Bring a hat, water and sunscreen. Feel free to stay for the whole time or just an hour or two! Watermelon and snacks will be provided. This event is free and open to the community.

Come look for birds with us at First Dam! We’ll have binoculars to borrow, and seasoned birdwatchers helping us ID the birds we see. Trail mix and granola bars will be provided. This event is free and open to the community.

Earth Week Legacy of Val Day of Service: Spring Planting at Wuda Ogwa
Student Activities
Join us as we honor the legacy of Val R Christensen and support the Northwestern Band of Shoshone in their efforts to restore the ecosystem at Wuda Ogwa (located outside of Preston, ID). Seismic Design Competition
Student Activities
The Seismic Design Competition challenges student teams to design, build, and test a lightweight structure (often made of balsa wood) that can withstand simulated earthquake forces. It gives participants hands-on experience in earthquake engineering, structural analysis, and the importance of resilient design. The competition will be held in Portland, Oregon.
