Motasem Abualqumboz's CAS Internship with the University of Nevada at Reno

In the summer of 2023, CAS trainee Motasem Abualqumboz interned with the University of Nevada at Reno under the mentorship of Dr. Erin Hanan, and assistant professor. 

Motasem's internship is a bit different from other CAS internships because he interned with a University - something we usually try to avoid at CAS. However, Motasem wanted to gain skills in RHESSys modeling and the University of Nevada at Reno was the best location for that. 

During his internship, Motasem gained skills in analyzing large spatial data sets using R and how to use the RHESSys model.
