Erika Blomdahl's CAS Internship with the Missoula Fire Science Lab

In summer 2020, CAS trainee Erika Blomdahl interned at the Rocky Mountain Research Station's Missoula Fire Sciences Lab under the mentorship of Dr. Sharon Hood, a research ecologist.

Erika's research objective was to assess to what degree fire injury influences susceptibility to subsequent bark beetle severity. 

During her intership, Erika collected data in the field, analyzed data in R and ArcGIS, planned projects, and networked with local researchers.
