Emily Calhoun's CAS Internship with the Moab Mosquito Abatement District

In the summer of 2023, CAS trainee Emily Calhoun interned with the Moab Mosquito Abatement District under the mentorship of Steve Sheaffer, the District Manager. 

Emily, while completing her internship, surveyed mosquito populations, worked with multiple teams to collect mosquitos, and assisted in adaptive strategy. 

Emily gained skills in field techniques for surveying mosquitos, mosquito species identification, and risk assessment and management strategies.
