Rachel Frantz' CAS Internship with the Los Alamos National Lab

During the summer of 2021, CAS trainee Rachel Frantz interned with the Los Alamos National Lab under the mentorship of Dr. Deborah Shutt and Dr. Carrie Manore. Her internship project was to assist in developing a mosquito abundance model. 

During her internship, Rachel gained skills in: Python, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, communication, and numeric methods for partial differential equations.
