Betsy Morgan's CAS Internship with the California Climate HUB

In the summers of 2019 & 2020, CAS trainee Betsy Morgan interned with the USDA's California Climate HUB under the mentorship of Sam Sandoval Solis & Steve Ostoja. The mission of the Climate HUB is to: "Help California land users (farmers, ranchers, forest landowners, and tribes) and land managers maintain sustainable communities and ecosystems by adapting to climate variability and change."
As an intern, Betsy's project aimed to understand how organizations directly and indirectly regulate, manage, and impact the quantity and quality of summer baseflow in the South Fork Eel Watershed in Northern California.
Betsy gained a skillset in California water management, climate change impacts on California water resources, adaptation planning, and climate change tools and reports specific to California.
