Dakoeta Pinto's CAS Internship with The Cooperative Extension System and the eXtension Foundation

In summer and fall of 2020, CAS trainee Dakoeta Pinto interned with the Cooperative Extension System and the eXtension Foundation under the mentorships of: Dr. Sarah Klain, Dr. Paul Lachapelle, and Dr. Ross McCann.

In his internship Dakoeta created a database of climate-related extension programs and conducted interviews with extension professionals. He assessed the organization's success in climate mitigation and adaptation and assessed its potential for more. 

Dakoeta gained skills and experience in Cooperative Extension, remote learning and collaboration, interview protocols, and analyzing and coding interview data in NVivo.
