Sebastian Schreiber Pan's CAS Internship at The Dugout Ranch

In the summer of 2024, CAS trainee Sebastian Schreiber-Pan interned with the Nature Conservancy at the Canyonlands Research Center and the Dugout Ranch under the mentorship of Matt Redd. 

Sebastian's internship involved looking at adaptation of livestock producers and land managers on the frontline. He helped promote development and testing of novel climate adaptation methods within agroecosystems. 

As an intern, Sebastian learned dynamic, proactive, and holistic management of land and livestock. Additionally, he learned how to work with a variety of individuals ranging from stakeholders to federal agencies.
